GLENDALE, Calif.—More than three hundred nursing students in San Diego are breathing easier after learning they will be able to transfer to Glendale Career College (GCC) to complete their nursing programs, following the closure of their previous school, Brightwood College. Several weeks ago these student faced an uncertain future after Brightwood’s parent company, Education Corporation of America, announced it was shutting down its schools nationwide—citing its loss of accreditation and ongoing financial challenges.

WEST COVINA, Calif.—Students and Team Members at North-West College (NWC) joined together to take on a number of service projects during the 2018 holiday season—all with the goal of giving back to the surrounding communities. From food and clothing drives to visiting local nursing homes, the efforts made a lasting positive impact on all involved.

LONG BEACH, Calif.—The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) recently recognized North-West College (NWC) student Mary Smith as the recipient of the 2018 Norma Ford Memorial Scholarship. Open to nursing students at any CAPPS member school, the award honors the late Norma Ford’s more than 28 years of service in the private career school sector.

WEST COVINA, Calif.—In recognition of his many professional and personal achievements, Success Education Colleges President Mitchell Fuerst was appointed a Knight of the Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen. LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) will feature North-West College graduate Ed ClayeJoiner during its Keynote Address Panel at its upcoming Professional Development Conference slated for September 25–27. An alumna of the College’s Vocational Nursing program, Joiner will participate in a panel of ACCSC-accredited institution graduates moderated by ACCSC Executive Director Dr. MichaleMcComis.

Construction on a new dental laboratory and classroom is already in process and will enable NWC Riverside to provide students the same dynamic learning environment the College is known for.
