ONTARIO, Calif.—On Saturday, October 12, more than 100 Surgical Technology professionals gathered for the annual California State Assembly (CA-SA) of the Association of Surgical Technologists Conference, where SEC’s Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza delivered the keynote address. The one-day event offered continuing education credit for individuals maintaining their Surgical Technologist certification and provided unique insight into the profession as a whole.

North-West College (NWC) to Open Long Beach Campus Extension

LONG BEACH, Calif.—As part of its ongoing commitment to providing quality career training programs, North-West College plans to open an offsite extension of its Long Beach Campus by December 1 of this year. With its main Long Beach facility remaining at 3799 East Burnett Street, the new extension will be located in the Arts Building on 3rd Street in the City of Long Beach. The addition will provide NWC the flexibility of expanded classroom space as it aims to continue to educate students for success.

North-West College (NWC) to Celebrate Grand Opening of Anaheim Campus

ANAHEIM, Calif.—North-West College (NWC) is preparing to host a Grand Opening Celebration of its Anaheim Campus this Wednesday, September 25, from 12–4 p.m. at 511 Brookhurst Street in the City of Anaheim. The event marks the arrival of the same excellent programs North-West College is known for in its new Anaheim location. Along with the chance to tour the campus and learn more about the College’s programs, the Grand Opening will also feature Power 106 FM, with Melissa Rios from the Nick Cannon morning show and the Power 106 Street Team.

Former Brightwood College Students to Achieve their Educational Goals with Glendale Career College

SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Saturday, July 20 will mark the end of a long journey for 70 nursing students as they cross the stage at graduation during Glendale Career College’s San Diego Commencement Ceremony. These individuals began their nursing programs with Brightwood College, only to have their dreams cut short when Brightwood closed precipitously this past December. GCC leadership stepped in and the college was granted approval to teach out the remainder of these students. Half a year later, 70 of the 288 nursing students being taught-out will realize their dream of becoming nurses as they enter the health care field as GCC graduates.

ANAHEIM, Calif.—As part of its continued commitment to providing quality education programs throughout Southern California, North-West College (NWC) recently remodeled a beautiful facility located at 511 North Brookhurst Street in the city of Anaheim, which will house the College’s Santa Ana Campus beginning in late May. Currently at 1840 East 17th Street, NWC has served the students and community of Santa Ana for more than five years, and will continue its mission to train individuals in short-term programs for gainful employment from its new Anaheim campus.

Glendale Career College Makes It Possible for More Than 300 Former Brightwood College Nursing Students to Finish Their Studies Following School Closure

GLENDALE, Calif.—More than three hundred nursing students in San Diego are breathing easier after learning they will be able to transfer to Glendale Career College (GCC) to complete their nursing programs, following the closure of their previous school, Brightwood College. Several weeks ago these student faced an uncertain future after Brightwood’s parent company, Education Corporation of America, announced it was shutting down its schools nationwide—citing its loss of accreditation and ongoing financial challenges.
