IRVINE, Calif. — Success Education Colleges (SEC) was proud to host its 2025 President’s Retreat on Friday, August 1, at the scenic Tanaka Farms—a fitting venue for this year’s theme: Planting the SEEDS of Success: Cultivating our Future. The annual gathering brings together SEC Board Members, Leadership Team members, Rising Stars, and special guests for a day of reflection, connection, and forward momentum.
“This retreat is one of the highlights of our year—an opportunity to come together and recommit to the work that empowers our students every day,” said SEC President Mitchell Fuerst. “Just like a strong harvest begins with one planted seed, our future begins with one empowered student. That’s the heart of our mission.”
With its rolling fields and deep agricultural roots, Tanaka Farms set the stage for powerful conversations and renewed purpose. Throughout the day, attendees explored ways to strengthen programs, spark innovation, and deepen SEC’s commitment to becoming a Highly Reliable Health Care College for every Student, Team Member, and Employer.
This year’s retreat also featured keynote addresses from two distinguished speakers:
Cris Ippolite, founder of iSolutionsAI, offered a future-focused perspective on innovation and the evolving role of AI in education.
Chris Myers, retired President & CEO of Citizens Business Bank, shared insights on strategic leadership and sustaining long-term organizational success.
In addition to inspiring sessions, guests enjoyed fresh-picked produce, a behind-the-scenes farm tour, and an evening of BBQ, line dancing, and celebration.
“Our journey to #1 continues with moments like this,” Fuerst added. “By planting with purpose, nurturing each other’s ideas, and staying rooted in our mission, we ensure our students continue to thrive—and so does SEC.”
